Can't cut and paste from O/Express

Hi. I just downloaded the latest version of OE (6). With
5, I was able to cut and paste from/to my messages but
can't now. Strange. Can anyone please help. Thanks

In fact, I can't write a message at all. It's as if I was

frozen out. When I put the cursor/pointer in the message
box to write, I can't.
