Can't create file settings + transfer wizard on rem. disk G

Within the File Settings and Transfer Wizard on my XP machhine, I'm trying to
create (per the instructions of the wizard) a wizard disk to use on my Win ME
machine. The drive choices offered under the menu item, "I want to create a
Wizard Disk in the following drive" are Removable Disks (G) through (J).

I want to use Drive E, which is my CD drive, as I have a CD drive on the Win
ME machine, but the menu does not allow me this option. How can I create a
wizard disk to use on my Win Me machine?

I dont think thats possible, reason being all youre xp data is in ntfs file
format,ME uses FAT32 format, ntfs can read FAT32,FAT32 cant read ntfs.
Either way,if you could convert FAT to ntfs, after you start the wizard, save
the data, files, etc in a new folder that you created.Once the data is thru,
move the folder to the cdrw, save the data on a cd.

Do you have Windows XP CD? If so, read these instructions:

CD-ROM

Your options are limited to the following:

1. The XP installation CD that came with your computer. Not
much help if XP came preinstalled with only a recovery CD or
recovery partition.
2. A floppy drive. Not much help if one of the systems does not
have a floppy.
3. A USB flash drive. This may be your only option. The price
for these drives has come down to a point where many are
available for less than $20.

It's an unfortunate fact that Microsoft crippled the FAST
feature by not allowing you to either save the wizard files
directly to CD or at least let you save them to your hard drive
so they could be written to a CD. Since a significant number of
new systems lack both a floppy drive and a real installation
CD, they have effectively eliminated the two primary options
for running the wizard on the old computer.

Good luck
