Can't copy/paste

My computer won't let me copy or paste anything anymore and I have no idea
how to correct this. If anyone knows how to fix the problem, please let me
know.

It says "successfully opened and closed the clipboard. Does not appear to be
any problems."
 
I have the same problem. I have checked for viruses using panda and AVG i
have checked for spyware using adaware and spybot, i have defragmented my
harddisk(or whatever its called in english). the system works perfectly
except for the copy/paste function. If i click copy - even on the smallest
file and then right click or click on paste from the top menu the timeglass
shows and stays on forever.
But even worse - if i right-click on the desktop (even as the very first
thing after start-up) the same thing happens - i get the timeglass - and no
use waiting for a couple of minutes. But i can still use the computer - it
doesnt freeze.

Weird !!! but annoying - unless it can be fixed i will have to format the
harddrive

Thanks a lot

the ShellExView-program did the trick.
There was 4 non-microsoft context menu handlers.
The Nview from Nvidia was the bad guy - it comes along with ACER laptops.
Shame on you NVidia - and thanks a lot to the rest of you :-)
 
You don't have to have an Acer to have Nvidia crap.

I have these five Nvidia entries disabled.

Extension Name: Desktop Explorer

Plus these NVIDIA startup items disabled: NvCplDaemon, NvMediaCenter and
nwiz.
