Can't copy/move files into Shared Documents folders in XP Pro

I have four local accounts set up in XP Pro: mine (Admin), two limited, and one guest. I cannot copy or move any files into any of the Shared Document folders from any of the accounts. The only files in there are some that came pre-loaded when I bought the PC from Dell. I get an error - Cannot Copy filename: Access is denied. I've got plenty of file space, and the files are not in use in any account. When I check properties on the Shared Document folders, I see they're all tagged Read Only. When I try to remove that attribute, I don't get any errors, but upon checking properties again it is still set to Read Only. My PC is standalone, not part of a domain. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
