Cant connect to myself!

I have a desktop and laptop, both running xp, and sharing an internet
connection using a microsoft wireless broadband router.
I am running an http and ftp server on the laptop, but I am unable to
connect to either one from any computer on the network.
Am I doing something wrong? Or is this maybe not possible?

Any help is appreciated...

I don't know if it makes a difference, but the computers can't talk to each
other through the network either...
