can't connect to internet

i reinstalled windows xp. now i have no internet. i have
comcast cable broadband. i tried creating a new
connection, but no success. is it possible i deleted
something i needed during reinstalling xp? i did delete
the partitions before reinstall. now my computer doesn't
detect LAN or high-speed internet connections. please
help? email me if possible.

Are you getting an IP address at all? Is your network card detected? Have
you tried updating the drivers for your NIC?
