Can't clear address histories

Hi there

Just wondering if anyone can help.I wanted to know how to
clear all traces of web histories entered into the
address bar. I know you can clear hisory by the clear
history option, but this is the problem i'm facing.

Lets say i type in google, it brings up all the different
searches i've done in google. EG google search...abc
google search...xyz
I know i can take off the auto complete function, but i
don't want to do this, I just want to clear any existing
history.

I've tried everything, the majority of entries have
cleared, but there's 2 that just won't go away, everytime
I start to type in google, the other entries appear in
the bar and people can see the searches I've done and
once again, I've cleared the history so many times, but
these 2 and only these 2 previous search entries i've
performed on google remain and can be seen... Help please

Tools-Internet Options-Click Clear History Button in
General Tab. You may also want to download privacy
eraser.

Hi there, thanks for the quick reply, but I've tried the
clear history mechanism, i've deleting cookies, and
files, I evev had 2 senior IT guys look at it and they
can't understand why everything gets erased except for
those two entries. Appreciate your help in any case.

Hi,
Occasionally, due to corruption in the History folder or it's index.dat
file, some URLs won't clear.

Delete the History folder and a new one will be created on restart.

History folder in Win 9x, XP, 2k.
