Can't choice recipient

When I write a new email and click recipient, wm show the error message
"Can't choose recipient".
But there are many contacts in my address book.
How can I fix this problem? Thanks for your help !

What do you mean, click recipient? Try click To: in the
new message window instead.

Also, the contacts list is occasionally changed to some
other type of list. If you think this has happened, click
on Tools in the main Windows Mail window, then
Windows Contacts, then right click in the empty space
under the right side of the toolbar in the Contacts
window, then click on Customize This Folder, then
the triangle, then Contacts, then Apply, then OK,
then close the Contacts window.

The mean of "click recipient" is "click To:".
I have tried the steps, but the error message "Can't choose recipient" still
appear when I click To:.

I assume you've tried to fix the list type of the contacts list.

If that doesn't help, A number of problems in Windows Mail are caused
by interference from antivirus programs, but not reported properly.
What if any antivirus programs do you have?
