Can't change web link icons

Can't change desktop icons for website links (for example the link to yahoo
mail); the icons are the standard webpage icons. I was able to use other
icons until recently. Now I have a group of boring and indistinguishable
icons for my web links. The only new program was an upgrade to Media Center
..
Any ideas would be welcome.

If you Right click this (these) Icons and select Properties, do you have the
option or Change Icon Button under Shortcut Tab?.
