can't change resolution

I can't increase the resolution setting in Win XP. The
resolution sliding bar won't budge from its current low
setting in the desktop properties window. I recently re-
installed XP. Any ideas?
 
Sounds like you need to update the video card driver -
download the latest driver from the manufacturer's
website and install that. This will help immensely.
