I wonder if there is anyway of getting to change my
toolfeeld. All the alternativs are since one day grey and
imposible to chose.
On the same time as this problem occured I got a new
toolfeeld under the adressfeeld. To the left of this
feeld I have the text "search" then a field where i can
fill in my question. After this to the right comes a
feeld "popups blocked" and to the right of this I have a
magnifying glas and the text "zoom".

I would apresiate a quick answer.

Kind regards Tomas

Sorry. I should have realized that you had ISearch.

If ISearch won't allow you to get to the links below, try this:
From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced> uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions." That should allow IE to work.

You should re-enable browser extensions after you solve the problem.

Try the uninstaller at http://www.isearch.com/faq.php

If unsuccessful with that, download, install, *update* and run Ad-aware from
http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/ It has been removing isearch.

If isearch is removed but your IE toolbar is still locked, go to
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/IEFAQ.htm > #32 Toolbars are locked.

I am now free from the extra toolbar but I still cant
change the original toolbars. I also cant come in to the
url: www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/IEFAQ.htm

I cant open that adress however I try. Like writing only:
www.mvps.org

Kind regards
Tomas

Tomas,
To unlock the toolbar go to
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/IEFAQ.htm > #32 Toolbars are locked.

To remove the toolbar add-ons go to
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/Toolkit.htm for Toolbar Cop.

Hope this helps,

Here's the reg file from that site which should unlock the toolbar
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/reg/IE_reset_restrictions.reg Download and
double-click that reg file.
- - -
Here's the text
This is due to the restrictions set in the registry. Open Registry Editor
[Regedit.exe] and navigate to:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explor
er]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explo
rer]

In the right-pane, look for the entry "NoBandCustomize". Delete this value
or and set it to 0.
In the right-pane, look for the entry "NoToolbarCustomize". Delete this
value or and set it to 0. This restores the missing "Customize" option.

Also, it sounds like ISearch is not the only problem.
Download and run Run CWShredder from
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

Then download, install, *update* and run both of these programs:
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/ (Remove items listed in red-others are
optional.)
Both programs should be updated after installation- before use.

Security tips and other information at:

Let me know how it turns out.
