can't burn photos to cd

I can't burn to cd.When I select all the photos I want to burn and click on Copy all items to cd a box pops up in the top left corner with the options copy here,move here,create shortcuts here and cancel.If I select copy here or move here it does,nt matter nothing happens.The box goes away. I have burnt some photos using Roxio however not all the photos in the file show up.I have read previous posts with possible solutions but they have been no help as the directions given don't apply.An example is right clicking on the cd drive and clicking on properties to look for the recording tab....I don't see a recording tab
