Can't burn certain songs to CD

Why the heck can't I burn certain songs to CD ? It says
error...codec not downloaded...even tho I have burned
these same songs to CD before ! YES...I have my "download
codecs automatically" selected. This is CRAP...I pay for a
CD burner and some new problem everytime.

The problem lies with the software (i.e. Media Player, Nero, Roxio), not the burner itself. Try reinstalling the program.

Do you have XP? Can you burn CDs but only play them on
your computer? That is my problem...like you, I have
burned CDs before, but now, since the various Media
Player updates I can't...according to the online support
I received last night, the songs in my media library need
to have a certain extension, eg, 123.wav in order to
allow me to play it somewhere other than the computer
(like on a car CD)...somehow my entire media library has
new extensions (123.wma)...I have to get a convertor to
change the songs to .wav, as XP doesn't allow you to
convert automatically...I don't like this new version, as
it is proving very inconvenient!
