Hi All,

In WinXP the connection is good (tested) but I can't browse (I'm getting DNS
error) or use the e-mail.

I have run two spyware programs and have an updated Norton anti virus
running.

How can I surf?

Thanks.

In order to assist you, we need a lot more information.

What is your operating system? What browser are you using?
How do you connect? Dial-Up? Cable? DSL? ISDN?
Is there a router between you and your connection?
Do you have a permanent IP address, or is it DHCP?
Do you have a DNS server listed when you do an "ipconfig /all"?

And so on....

I'm not trying to be difficult. There are literally thousands of ways to
connect. How you do so determines what your problem could be.

Thanks for replying....

courtney sends...

Run CMD, and when the command prompt opens
type: ping www.yahoo.com. Do you get replies?
This is to check whether you're really connected.
You may not be, or your ISP's DNS may be down.
Disconnect, and try reconnecting at a later time.

If you do get replies, then try clicking the link above
to see if it works.
