Can't browse 2003 domain

Servers are 2003 standard - network comprised of XP Pro SP2 workstations -
new Vista Business edition workstation introduced to network - Usually I
have to manually setup the IPv4 TCP protocol to point to our internal DNS
server and the workstation sees our network - in Vista I did this but can't
see anything on our network, just the internet. IPv6 can't take the DNS
server (i enter xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and it says network address is invalid.)
what steps need to be taken to connect a vista workstation to a Windows
network?

Uncheck the box for IPv6 and only use IPv4 (unless your network has been
upgraded to IPv6 (unlikely))
All the setting under IPv4 are the same as they were under XP so just set
them as per the rest of the machines on the network.

I agree with what Mike suggested and also add that I have integrated Vista
machines into Server 2003 domain without any problems using plain old IPv4.
There was nothing to it - it was exactly the same as with an XP machine.

Thanks, I did as instructed, rebooted and still nothing on network - I can
see our wireless router listed and the local computer, and can access the
internet, but all windows machines/servers are not shown.
