Create New Folder

Vista Business in a Windows 2003 AD domain. Server and workstations all have
the latest service packs and patches.

Here's the problem description:

I use Vista to browse a shared network folder located at my 2003 server,
let's call it \\machinename\folder1\folder2. Then I create a new subfolder
in folder2. Problem is I can't see the new folder. To see the newly created
folder, I have to either click other folder then back to folder2 or hit F5
to refesh.

On the other hand, things work normally if I map the shared folder to a
drive letter. In other words, if I map F: to \\machinename\folder1, and
create a new subfolder in folder2 and the new folder shows up and
highlighted.

Anyone seen this problem? How can I fix this?

I've submitted a request for the hotfix. Got a response email and I've also
downloaded the patch. I'll have to wait till tomorrow to try the patch. I'll
post the result tomorrow (Dec 5).

Thanks for your help, Josh.

Unfortunately the patch does not fix the problem. Any other tricks?

Btw, we're considering a downgrade to XP Pro. I think IBM/Lenovo gives us
downgrade rights.
