Can't Break out of StartUp Form... HELP!!!

OK... What I did was a serious mistake... Now I'm locked out of my Database. I made modifications to my Startup form and created a Switchboard. In the process I never closed the Startup Form (in modal mode). I can't break out of the form and the underlying Switchboard was only a test form with nothing but a single button on it which did nothing...

So as if not to make things worse I saved this configuration and am now sitting here looking for a way to get control back so that I can undo my stupid mistake. Access is completley locked that the only thing that is working ... is that single button to load the Switchboard. I can't get to it, to any access toolbars and I have only been able to exit by shutting down the app in XP.

I started looking at making the Startup form fail so that I could get back into Access using a hex editior on the .mdb (copy of course - only one mistake allowed!)

I need help because I'm at my wits end and have been working on this project non stop

Thanks for any suggestions.

Try holding down the shift key while you're opening the database.

If that fails, create a new database, and import everything (except the
start form) into the new database.

I managed to change the name of the Startup form using a Hex editor... Access failed and put me into VBA.. from there it was easy to fix my problem...

By the way I did try the SHIFT key .. no dice.

Thanks again for the reply.
