Can't "alt-tab" out of new Tombraider game.

With other Tombraider games on my old ME system I could hit alt-tab to get
"minimize the game so I could do another task, like read a text file or
check email. But with new tombraider game (Angel of Darkness) on my XP Pro
system it doesn't work. I've tried alt-tab, alt-esc, pressing the
Window's keyboard start button but nothing works. Alt-tab does freeze the
game and the screen sort of flickers like it wants to switch to the desktop
but it doesn't. I end up having to press alt-tab again to resume the game.
I hate to have to exit the game every time I want to read a file or check
email.

The new game may not support that action, Walt. Have you checked in the
Options to see if you can set it that way? I've seen several games that
either you're in them or you're not.

I use ctl-alt-del to get to the desktop when alt-tab fails, just shut down
that box and click the game tab when you're ready to return to the game.
