Can't add my computer to a domain

F

Frank Baisch

I have a new Windows 2000 Pro. system and I am trying to add it to the
network domain. The server is NT40 with SP6a and running IP/TCP protocol.
I can see the network from the 2K machine and even get to folders, but I can
not add the computer to the domain. I get the following message when I do
"The credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials." I
am using the same ID and password that I always use to add computers to the
domain, they were all NT40 machines. Am I missing something with Win2K?

Thanks for any info you can offer.

Frank
