can't add dns service to pdc

when i try to add the dns service to w2k server under add
remove programs it won't add , i get no error, it just
tells me that 1.1mb is to be added and it add 0.0 mb so
there is no change with the os .
i would be gratefull for any help .

If this is a DC maybe DNS is already installed DCPROMO will ask if you want
to add and configure your DNS service.
