Can't add a transition after I add a title

I have used Movie Maker in the past and never had this problem. I'm making a
slideshow using photos and I want to add titles before some pictures. When I
do that then I can no longer put a transition in before the picture. (In the
past I've been able to put in transition, title, transition, picture.) Every
time I try to drag it in, I just get a circle with a line through it. I can
add any of the transitions in before a picture, but as soon as I add a title
I can no longer add a transition at that location.

Your title may be so short in duration that there is not "room" for a
transition. Try extending the title (drag the right edge "longer" in time in
the timeline view) then add the transition.

That makes sense. I ended up starting a brand new project and then I deleted
the one that was giving me trouble. I'll try this if I have this problem
again. Thanks!
