I am logging onto the machine as administrator and using
the administrator user and password in the active
directory wizard. Howver I can not add this computer as a
domain controller. Everytime I try it comes up with Access
Denied. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Is there a
setting I need to check in the registry to make sure I
have users that can do this?? Thanks

What is the exact message? You need to provide domain administrator
credentials and have it configured to point to the other dc as it's dns
server. You might want to use netdiag and dcdiag on it to check for problems
and also post in the win2000.active_directory newsgroup. There is also a
user right assignement for the Domain Controller Security Policy for enable
computer and user accounts to be trusted for delegation of which the
administrators group should be a member as in a default installation. ---

It was the security policy. Admin wasn't part of the
delegate to other machines..Thanks
