Can't Activate DVD De-coder

On updating to Media 9 I lost my DVD player
Purchased Decoder from Microsoft recommended vendor
on CD. Installation Wizard does it's thing OK
When I type in 7digit number from CD & activate
MESSAGE: number invalid, please check & retype
Auto Complete OFF
Security Slide LOW
JAVA console ENABLED
JAVA logging ENABLED
ALL cookies ENABLED

You need to find that info out from the vender you bought the decoder
from.
