I recently built a new computer, Installed XP, everything
worked smoothly, brought it home, can't access task
manager, I am the administrator, and I can't find a way
to enable it, it says I need my admin to enable it, I am
not on a network. Any ideas? please reply

Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

Look in the right pane for a value called DisableTaskMgr If it exists, it
should be set to 0 (zero). If not, double click it and set it to 0. If it
doesn't exist, right click in a blank area of the right pane, then select
New, DWord value. Name it DisableTaskMgr and leave it at 0.

Then update your antivirus software and scan your system. You may want to
do this from Safe Mode.
