Can't access server

our company in Workgroup environment , 4 segments, we have
file server , any clint computer( 300 computer from
different segments) can ping on it's IP
except 50 computers can access Internet & LAN network but
they can't ping on the file server (Request timed out)
but when they try to access this server the authentican
window appear but they can't access by authorized username
& password . NO IP sec
