I've been trying all day to access the Microsoft site, either
www.microsoft.com or www.microsoft.com.au. Friends can access it from their
end but I cannot on mine. I'm using Win 2000 and IE 6.0. I've emptied the
cache, deleted the history and resent IE to default settings. I've
uninstalled a popup stopper I had, in case it was that. I've checked with
my ISP (broadband with opstusnet.com.au) but all is ok their end and they
read our connection and modem as operating. I don't know what else to do.

I can send and receive emails, view other websites fine, but cannot get into
Microsoft's site at all. My antivirus program is up to date. Any ideas?

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.
