can't access internet from aol after installing critical updates

I just installed 38 critical XP updates and now can't
access the internet from AOL. the message is "action
canceled" no page to display, and the address in the
toolbar shows as res://c:winnt\system32
\shdoclc.dll/navcancl.htm#... and then the web page I was
trying to get to. I can still get to the internet
through my earthlink connection. Please help!
