I am trying to learn MS Access 2003 and have trouble getting any help files
to work. It keeps giving me the message
"Action canceled Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you
requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable."
I have tried this for many day so don't think it's just a today thing. Also
when downloading a file from the Microsoft web site, I don't get the
instructions either. Any ideas?

You have your help file configured to search the Microsoft website for help.
To change that, so that your computer looks at itself for the Access Help
files, open the Help window, and at the bottom of the list is an option to
check your Online Content Settings, where you tell Access when and if to
look online for Help.

It sounds like you don't want the computer to go online for Help at all.
You can uncheck that box.
