Can't access external drive on LAN PC

I'm running 3 (A, B, & C) Windows XP Pro computers on a LAN. Computer B has
an external drive G with Network Share enabled.

Using My Network Places from either computer A or C, I can see this remote G
drive but cannot access it. This feature did work several weeks ago so
something must have happened.

Suggestions please.

Followup comment.
I have no problem accessing Computer C, it's just the external drive
attached to it.
