Can't access a private folder

I've made a folder "private" by using command "convert
c:/FS: NTFS/"file name" in the Command Prompt of XP, the
folder then can private easily. But unfortunately, i
can't get start with that previous windows now. Then i
install another XP, all the previous folders can be
access except the one mentioned above! When I click on
this folder, a message "access is denied" is seen.

All my life important files was saved there, I'm very
desperate to this stuff, are there any professionals can
help?
