Canon scanner and Mozilla

I have a Canon Canoscan 4200F. The scanner and the driver software are
supposed to have the ability to scan and attach the image to an e-mail
with the push of a button. The documentation says that it should work
with Outlook, Outlook Express, and Netscape. The Canon ScanGear
software allows you to add additional programs and to specify which mail
program will be used.

The mail function is not working correctly with Mozilla 1.7.3, nor with
Netscape 7.1. It does scan the image, save it, and then display the
picture in the Browser, rather than attaching it to an e-mail.

Has anyone gotten this to work?
Canon support has been no help.

Same problem with the Epson 4180. There are numerous registry entries
to change. Not worth it. Just edit copy and paste into an Email.

Try Art-Copy. It should work and if it doesn't we can look into it for you.
