canon resetter problem - Canon is changing the "chips"

I just received my Canon resetter and it works perfect from
inkjetreset.com. If you are planning to purchase one, I would get it
from here since they offer a 2 year warranty and a phone number
directly to a live person.

However, here's a surprise. The person I talked to stated that some
of the chips that are sold in Japan doesn't work. In other words, i'm
guessing that Canon has already modified some of the chips so it can't
be reset. In other words, keep your chips if you want to reset them.

p.s. Measekite, since you always buy new cartridge, do you want to
sell me your old chips.
