HI,

I hope someone can help me with this.
The COPY button on my Canon LiDE 80 scanner is not working, every time
it just bring up the toolbox for a few seconds and then exit. Sometimes
I saw a messagebox popup showing "please enter a number between 1 and 99".

by the way, I've tried the scanner on both Windows XP and 2000, same
behavior.

CanoScan LiDE 80 Support.

Do you have CanoScan Toolbox-Scanning Utility Program installed?
It Enables you to scan images copy (print), attach images to e-mail messages
or save image with simple steps. It also works with the scanner buttons.

Your printer must be turned on and working. The printer driver also must be
correctly installed.

Hi,

thanks for the reply.

Yes I have all the software installed and the printer is working,
the SCAN button works but the COPY button does not, the COPY button
will invoke the toolbox for a few seconds and then exit. It's quite
weird that it happen to both XP and 2000 PC.

Have you checked in Toolbox that the Printer is correctly selected? (Or that
the correct printer is selected). Check Toolbox preferences.
Check the Printer Driver for the connection to the correct port.
Do you get the Printer Icon on the Task bar? Ever?

Hi,

thanks again.

yes I've checked the printer is ok and the toolbox configuration is
fine, I can use the SCAN button first and then print but cannot
use the COPY button diretly. Sometimes I get an error complaining
the TWAIN driver is bad.
