Canon Laser Shot LBP-1210 sharing problem

Hi

We are having a terrible time trying to share a cannon lbp-1210 which is
connected locally to one of the win xp pro pc with other win xp pcs on a sbs
2003 (windows 2003) network. The connection from other pcs on the network is
intermittent and breaks without any reason. Has anyone have had any
experience sharing this printer over a windows network between win xp pcs?

Hi John,

Workgroup or domain? If in a workgroup, control is handled by the machine
the printer is connected to. If in a domain, then the resource is handled by
the domain controller. I don't know how many machines you have, but with
WinXP the number of inbound connections it can accept is 10 in WinXP Pro,
and this may explain your intermittent connection issues.

Domain. Only 3-4 other pcs/users are accessing the printer.
