Canon Inkjet Problem

Talal Itani

Hi,

I am printing a brochure on double-sided matte photo paper using the Canon
i850 inkjet printer. When I set the paper type to "Matte Photo Paper", the
text gets printed very heavy(very dark). I could not figure out how to
solve this problem. Please help me if you can.

Best Regards,
T.

Hey,

you have a few of options I can think of:

1) if your printer driver allows it, reduce the ink volume on the black -
this might affect other elements adversely
2) try changing your black? text to 90-99% black instead of 100%
3) a hairline white outline may help
4) try different paper settings

Matte paper is not the best for the crisp edges needed for text as the ink
tends to bleed. Also if this output is not for a proof, but for a commercial
purpose, consider professional digital printing or at least a laser printer.

Cheers,
Luke
