Canon i860 printer

installed new canon i860 printer with usb port, But windows xp cannot locate printer port, also install a new usb cable. has anybody had this problem?

I'm having the exact same problem with my canon i560.
spent two hours with canon's tech staff working on it to
no avail. the usb port works fine, but i don't really
have one to spare. guess i'm still looking for another
solution besides returning the printer...

Are your USB ports KNOWN to be working correctly with other USB devices?

I just checked them, it appears that it is not working.

Hi

Try this:

Go into Device Manager, uninstall your USBs and then reboot to let Windows
re-detect them.
