canon BJC-240 printer

I am unable to install and print with my printer. i do not
have the disks and i have tried to go through the control
panel with no luck. any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
ihave a compaq presario computer with windows xp and i have
a canon bubble jet printer BJC-240 series.
