Cannot view Outlook 2003 Inbox Items?????????

Here we go. My company uses an Application Server through Terminal Services,
obviously in Application Mode. Users can access their Outlook Mailbox
through a method of remotely logging onto their profile through TS. How they
are logging on is not that important in my scenario. One particular user
opens Outlook and sees everything they need to, but when they click on
"Inbox" it appears empty even though the inbox has a bold (Number) next to
it. However, when the user accesses his Exchange 2000 mailbox from his
networked system within the office he can view his Inbox without issue. I
have tried a lot, but nothing seems to make these "known" emails visable. I
have uninstalled/reboot/reinstalled the Office 2003 Application from the
server, Deleted the user's Profile from the server, ran every MS Update for
the Software known to man, but nothing seems to help. The one thing I have
noticed is that when I do rifle through the Administrator Account thru TS it
asks for a "DATA1.msi" location meaning it's asking for the Office 2000 SR-1
Software. Big Mess, Any Ideas??? Thanks in advance team!!

Simple check since TS Profiles and Workstation profiles tend to be separate
entities, did you check to see if the user has a filter/view set to hide
items? (Check View | Current View or have them start outlook 1 time with
the /cleanviews command line switch. Warning: Starting Outlook with the
/cleanviews command line switch will delete all custom views and reset the
built-in ones back to default.)

I have had this happen several times with users I support, though not through
Terminal Server. What had happened for some reason is that under View,
Arrange By, it had been set to Flag instead of Date. Since nothing was
flagged, the Inbox would show (x) unread items but when the user clicked on
their InBox, nothing appeared. Setting the Arrange By back to date caused
all the mail to be visible to the user.

Dave,

View/Arrange By/Show In Groups was selected, after removing the check box
"magically" all items in my Inbox were visible. Silly that I didn't go there
initially. Thanks for your response and making me think down that path.
