"Cannot verify Security Certificate" Message Box

Clayton

Every now and then a box would pop up when I am checking my emails saying

The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot
be verified, the target principal name is incorrect

This has been happening for a week now, is this an issue with my ISP?

Thanks

If your ISP is 'at&t Yahoo! HSI', there is a known bug in some older
versions of MS Outlook; 2002? 2003? Not sure which version, but an update to
the current level of patching, for that version, will fix it.

I'm using remote email for the last 2 years which are

pop3r.xtra.co.nz
smtp.xtra.co.nz

I found out that they had changed the server settings to

pop3.xtra.co.nz
send.xtra.co.nz

And now I don't get the security cert message anymore.

We are having the same issue and our ISP passed the buck back to Microsoft.
What do I specifically ask the ISP to provide so we can fix this. If it's
relevant, our operating system is XP Pro with Outlook 2007. Anyone have
ideas? Really appreciate the help. Thanks.
