Cannot Update

Hey Everyone!

I have a little situation which I wonder one of you can tell me how to get
round it.

We install Windows defender as our default Installation on every machine. I
have Downloaded the Newest Version of the software and updated it all under
administrator.

But When the users are logged on the check update button is greyed out and
now its saying the lastest updates are not installed and its unable to update.

As a company we dont allow users to install anything from hows windows 2000
domain. Which is setup from the basic windows security.

I have looked into using a WSUS server but unfortunatly the company wont
allow the funds for it at this time.

IS there anyway i can get the updates to run on the users machine? is there
any files i need to give permissions to to allow this to happen?
