Hi,
I keep on tryin to uninstall Nokia 6600 PC suite but it keeps giving me an
error message :

set12.tmp application error
"The instruction at "0x0040cf00" referenced memory at "0x00000fc" the
memory could not be read.

tried uninstalling from safe mode, same problem, and the problem is the
program is causing a conflict problem with COM ports and conflicting other
programs ! thats why i dont wanna uninstall it by deleting the directory cuz
i want the COM ports to be freed

Thanks

Hi there dentist im joseroyjavelosa a.k.a. iceflow the nokia pc suite is
quite popular for its software problems but lately nokia had addressed these
problems by producing new versions of the the pc suite and utilities such as
pc suite registry cleaner
BLUTOOTH CONNECTIVITY
(you must take note that to be able to connect your Nokia 6600 phone to your
compatible PC the Bluetooth software needs to support Serial Port Profile
(SPP).
another thing is that some bluetooth driver functionality may be
overwritten during the installation of Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2.
If you experience any difficulties after installing the Service Pack, you
must reinstall your Bluetooth software.)

- conflict in com ports ( caused due to internal modems causing confilict
with mrouter/ conflict in com ports is resolved by temporarily disabling
your internal modem while using your pc suite)

the latest solution nokia is offering is to download the PC Suite Register
Cleaner
click the link below

http://europe.nokia.com/A4143896?ap...ID=1&productId=288&categoryId=19&languageId=1

But if you have no more interest with the pc suite and you want to
permanently uninstall it from your system the first thing i recomend you to
do is to reinstall the pc suite to make sure that no missing files caused the
pc suite to cause uninstallation problems.
Second try uninstalling the pc suite through its own uninstall wizard and
not through control panel.

If this doesnt work use the "system restore" you can access system restore
through start>>>help and support>>> inside help and support you can locate
system restore under the "pick a task" group 3rd option below which reads
"Use Tools to view your computer information and diagnose problems"

I hope you find my reply useful so you can start enjoying your 6600 phone
and your computer again
