Cannot start Microsoft Outlook

I tried to upgrade a Microsoft Office 2003 to Office XP Professional. When
trying to start Outlook, I got the error message:

"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Unable to display the selected folder or
item. Could not open the item. Try again."

When I click "OK". it asks, "would you like to open your default File System
folder instead? If I answer yes, I have no Inbox or other email folders. This
happens after uninstalling the Office 2003 and several unintalling and
reinstalling of Office XP Professional.
