cannot shut down Windows

when i log users off while they're been switched, i
cannot restart, log off, switch users or shut down
windows anymore. i always have to do a cold boot. why
does this happen when i log users off? is there a glitch
from this in some way? Microsoft besta fix this problem.

So are you logging off the user, or switching the user? They are two
different processes. If you are logging off a user and then try to fast
user switch it at the same time, the security manager is most likely
confused as to what to do. Can you login in as a single user and then log
off that user by itself or does that hang the machine?

It hangs, thank you. There isn't anything i can do can I?
but a freakin' cold boot.
