Cannot setup independent Link bars for my 3 subdomains

Hi.

I am having problems in FP to save the settings for the navigation buttons
at the top and on the side. I created a new name for each setting for the
hyperlinks
but even if I save them, they seem to apply to all of the sites pages
instead of just the subdomain it is supposed to refer to.

In the navigation area, all the files are listed and can be seen under its
proper index file. When I go in the normal window, I right click the
hyperlink at the top
this gives me access in creating my nav buttons.

I created a unique name for all subdomain links, top and side, but each time
it applies to the entire site! It is not supposed to. I also made sure to
chose the correct subfolder and file name. All identified with the subdomain
ID like ABC
or Food or 123 so I can't miss!

any clues as to what the problem is? How can I solve this problem?

FP navigation component are limited/linked to the web they are created in, so you must create 3 FP
subwebs/sites to have independent navigation.

If you feel your current issue is a results of installing
a Service Pack or security update, please contact

If the problem can be shown to have been caused by a
security update, then there is usually no charge for the call.

Are your subdomains subwebs or folders? If they are folders, you will have
this problem - convert them to subwebs, which will support unique
navigation.
In FrontPage, the subweb is designated by a folder with a globe on the
folder icon.
To convert a folder to a subweb, right click on the folder, then choose
"Convert to web".
Note that the server must have FP extensions, and must support subwebs -
some servers don't.

Apply the same style sheets or theme to all the subwebs
