Cannot set a RESTORE POINT

Hey Kid!!!

I followed the breadcrumbs, faced east, and wearing the
vermillion cloak of the Supreme Administrator initiated
SFC. According to the mystical CBS Log, the process was
unable to remove all of the curses, but it DID repair
whatever it was that inhibited System Protection, and I
am now able to create a Restore Point.

You, sir, are a God. May the sun forever shine upon thee
without the penalties of melanoma, may thy camel's spit
always miss your smiling countenance, may neighborhood
dogs never foul your front lawn, and may thou never
suffer the discomfort of discovering the gender of thy
wife's lover.

And as the ultimate expression of gratitude, where shall
I send my shoes?

Not exactly fried. The system worked great overall, but
I couldn't set a Restore Point. Several people here
offered possible solutions, which I tried without
results. Frustrating. Someone commented that "set a
Restore Point" was the wrong language - "create" is the
right term. I apologized for my imprecision in
describing the problem (with tongue in cheek).

The Unshod Young Goat invited me to SFC, which I
implemented as the hidden SuperAdministrator. That not
only gave me access to the Protection tab, but I have
new hair growing on my bald spot.
