I'm able to receive messages using outlook 2000 in
exchange (exchange server 2003) but I'm unable to send
message:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended
recipients.

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'John R' on 10/20/2003 7:00 PM
There was a SMTP communication problem with
the recipient's email server. Please contact your system
administrator.
<exchange.taxplanners1.com #5.5.0 smtp;550
<[email protected]>: Recipient address rejected: Relay
access denied>

What should I look at to resolve?

You may be trying to relay - which all ISPs worth their salt deny. If you
are trying to send using one account server via another server, this is
called relaying.

You need to set your authenticatio on the Server tab of your account
properties to authenticate before sending.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to the
Swen virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted w/out
reading.
