Peacejamsolano.org' is not your ISP. As such, your home ISP will block
your use of any port 25 SMTP server other than their own.
For an explanation of this anti-spamming policy, see
http://www.postcastserver.com/help/Port_25_Blocking.aspx

To send from home, you will have to substitute your home ISP's
SMTP server. If you need help with that, let us know who your
home ISP is.

In order to resolve this error, you will have to set your email's SMTP
server to the MSN SMTP server. While it does not require computing skill to
accomplish this task, be sure that you read all instructions on the screen
for the best results. Typing in SMTP servers can be tricky business, so
always double check what you type in, lest you mistakenly prevent your copy
of Microsoft Outlook Express from accessing your mail.

First, navigate to the Accounts setting under the Tools menu. Press on the
Mail tab and choose the account that you want to change. Press the button
labeled Properties.

Press the Server tab and look for the Server Information section. Delete
whatever is currently populating the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) text box and type
in "smtp.email.msn.com" (without the quotations).

Look for the Outgoing Mail Server section. Select the check box labeled My
Server Requires Authentication and press the Settings button. Look for the
Login Information section and press the Log On Using button.

Type in your MSN Member ID in the Account Name text box. Your MSN Member ID
should be your user name before the @ portion of your MSN email address.
Type in your MSN Member password in the Password box and click on the check
box labeled Log On Using Secure Password Authentication.

Close the Outgoing Mail Server box by pressing the OK button. Close the
<Mail Account> Properties box by pressing the OK button. Press Close to
finish setting up your account.

Yes, I would like help being able to send from home. My home ISP is AT&T.
Will I be blocked from sending email anywhere but at my work? Thank you.

Since AT&T uses an SMTP port other than '25', you can use it anywhere.
AT&T has been consolidating its former SBC and BellSouth divisions unto
a common set of Yahoo servers. If that applies to you, the SMTP server
you should be using is smtp.att.yahoo.com. Proceed as follows:

1. In Windows Mail go to Tools, Accounts, select your Peacejamsolano.org
account, click Properties, Servers. Change the name of the outgoing (SMTP)
server to smtp.att.yahoo.com. Do not change the incoming server. Also,
make sure that the "My server requires authentication" option is checked.
Click the adjacent "Settings" button. Select "Log on using"
then enter your AT&T login credentials. Click OK.

2. Go to the Advanced tab and change the port number for the
outgoing (SMTP) server from 25 to 465, and enable the associated
SSL option for the outgoing server only. Again, do not change anything
pertaining to the incoming server. Click OK. Try sending.
