cannot send or receive email

All of a sudden, I am unable to send or receive mail.
Any ideas of what may have happened and how I can correct would be
appreciated.

No, not unless you provide some useful information.

What version of Outlook? When did the inability to send/receive mail start?
What did you do just prior to that? (Note- Nothing is not a good answer).
Have you tried the Test Account Settings? What errors does it report? Have
you tried removing and re-adding the mail account? Have you talked to your
ISP to see if they are having issues on their end?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

I called my ISP and they had me run a repair command from the help menu
(Outlook 2003).
That corrected the problem and I am now sending and receiving again. They
apparently had problems that affected all my email accounts. Thanks for you
help.
