cannot send large email

large email goes into outbox, but will not send. Do I need to change server
port number, it is 25 now. Or does that have anything to do with it
 
You can't change the port number unless your mail provider has recommended
an alternate port number. Who is your mail provider? How large is the
attachment you are sending?
