Cannot send emails using outlook 2002

I have two email accounts set up in outlook 2002. I can
receive emails on both but my emails wont go out. They
are returned for "relaying prohibited. You should
authenticate first"

What do I have to do to fix this?

Authenticate. Check your server tab on the Account properties. Set it to
authenticate.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
